Q-PLUS Labs is an Irvine based company that produces high-precision dimensional measurement and inspection systems for scientific and mechanical applications. Essentially, if you’re in need of dimensional inspection, reverse engineering, or calibration tools, you can count on Q-PLUS Labs to get the job done.

About the Project

Q-PLUS Labs needed a very functional website that had all of the typical CMS system features such as database driven content, search capabilities, content management, archiving, revision systems, high levels of content organization, and more. But that was just scratching the surface of what we did for them.

One very cool feature of their website is a fully functional client satisfaction survey system. Using a job number, the system automatically created an empty satisfaction questionnaire, generated a unique url to be mailed to the client, then automatically populated a list of all the completed and incomplete forms, so they could easily keep track of which customers had not yet taken the time to give their satisfaction ratings.

All of this information is then sent into a tabular format and is aggregated into a table that automatically creates accurate statistics for this data while taking into account non-answered question, in order to promote non-confounding factors in their overall statistics gathered. Finally, those statistics were dynamically graphed and special print versions are available for office use.

To say the least, this project was both interesting and involved. However, since there was a good deal of technical aspects to the site, it was important that we give adequate training to the company so they could truly be in control of their content. We kept our lines of communication open and gave them months of personal Q&A assistance so they would always be able to take their website to the next level.
